The issues of men in grief can be different from women due to the expectations that many in society put on us and the expectations that we put on ourselves to be there for others in our family and forget about our own needs while grieving. Together, we remember our loved ones for the love, joy and memories held for them.
I would like to join the men in grief closed group. As to my qualifications, my son, Chris A. Leinonen was one of the 49 fatalities in the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting on 12 June, 2016. He was my only son, but was raised by his mom, which is why he has a different last name than me.
Hi Mark, I posted the link to that group as a resource, but I am not the admin for it.
You should go to that site and click ‘+Join Group’ button. Here’s the link to that page: (good luck!)
