Barbara J Hopkinson, author, speaker and facilitator of bereavement groups, today announced her national “Return-to-Life” program.

Designed to help families struggling with grief to heal after the loss of a child, and find hope and happiness again, the program is available over the phone and the Internet in three-, six- or 12-month segments. In addition to highly tailored personal consultations with each individual, the “Return-to-Life” program shares with its members an elaborate network of resources and referrals.

“The death of a child rocks your world and puts you in a state of shock,” Hopkinson noted. “I created the program to help grieving family members navigate the terrain of grief.”

Hopkinson endured the loss of three children and used her own healing journey to craft her book, “A Butterfly’s Journey…Healing Grief After the Loss of a Child.” Released this summer, the book received rave reviews.

“A Butterfly’s Journey is a mother’s inspirational story about the death of her sons. A beautiful celebration of life, inspiring the promise of hope to any parent who has suffered the death of a child.” – Eleanor Morsbach Godin, a bereaved mother who is also Founder and Co-chair, Board of Directors of Peter’s Place, a center for grieving children and families, Philadelphia, PA.

More testimonials of the book, and of Hopkinson’s skills guiding families through grief, can be seen at http://www.abutterflysjourney.com.

Hopkinson has more than a decade of expertise in mentoring others through grief. She is a founder and leader of The Compassionate Friends of Greater Newburyport, a local chapter of the national organization created to support family after a child dies.

“Through my many years of helping families locally heal through the death of a child, it became apparent that there is a universal need,” Hopkinson explained.“I took great care in developing a program that is non-judgmental, holistic and spiritual.”

Traditional bereavement support groups play a critical role in healing. Sometimes, however, those dealing with the loss of a child prefer more private one-on-one attention – especially from a multiple bereaved mother like Hopkinson who has lived through the despair and made it to the other side.

The “Return-to-Life” program helps bereaved families experience:
· Reduction in grief and increase in daily motivation
· Belief in the continuation of a child’s spirit
· Increased awareness of tools to promote and continue the healing process

Those who register for the program will receive a bonus package, including a signed copy of “A Butterfly’s Journey” and two original songs that were written for her book.

To learn more, Hopkinson is offering a complementary 30-minute “Return-to-Life” conversation, which you may schedule by calling 617-410-6309 or emailing barbara(at)abutterflysjourney(dot)com.
