• Chuck lost his 22 year old daughter Elisabeth in a car accident in 2002

• Liz lost her son Miles in 2004 at 21

• Barbara lost her 26 year old daughter Jamie 

• Gerald lost his son Nicholas at 21 in 2006 to sudden cardiac arrest

• Debby lost her 1 year old daughter Carissa in 1995 in a daycare accident

• Jodi lost her 21 year old son Christian to Cerebral Edema in 2001 and her 60 year old  sister Kim to cancer 2018
